Re: History

I bought my E-1 in January 2004 as a kit with 14-54 mk1 lens. I got a free Lowepro bag included and paid 1649.00.

My E-3 & 12-60mm was bought in Dec 2007 (with free 2GB card) and cost me 1699.

Given the amount I've spent on Pro and top pro lenses I will be after an E-5 (or two) in the near future. I will probably also look for another E-3 as a back-up for use in my UW housing.

Re: History

I'm also happy with my choice of E-1. The only camera I've ever bought brand new was an OM40, which proved to be a mistake. After 6 months I traded it for a used OM1 and since then I've always bought used or refurbished cameras and lenses. I've been lucky so far that all the equipment that I've bought used has been in excellent, as new condition, but somehow used equipment seems to be more interesting.

In fact yesterday I bought an ancient Rolleicord TLR on Ebay. Should bring back memories as my cousin's Rolleicord was the first 'proper' camera that I used in my teens. Can't wait to get my hands on it and put some film through it.
