My first impressions are that it looks fantastic, and very similar in size to my Lumix GX7.

Next job is to update the firmware to v3.0 and personalise the settings...
My view of essential settings:

- Anti-shock 0s
- SCP on
- Raw (or raw + JPEG if you insist )
- Blinkies (over- and under-exposure warnings)
- Decouple focus from shutter button (aka back-button focus)

In any case - have fun!

Re: Pen-F owners, tell me the truth.

Thanks pdk42,

I've never got on with back focussing, but I agree with the rest

One thing that always annoys me is having to set the image resolution to include Superfine... why don't Olympus set this as a standard option?? Surely with the price of memory cards now users won't be filling the cards that quickly??

Re: Pen-F owners, tell me the truth.

Well I've been having fun in Scotland with my new Pen F. I've mostly been using it with my Olympus 14-150mm zoom... but tried it today with my Olympus 45mm f1.8, and my Panasonic Leica 8-18mm. So far it's looking good... but I've already learnt that I need to check the exp comp dial hasn't got twisted away from the zero setting or the creative dial from its picture control setting as I take it from my bag!

I've added a Meike grip to it which makes it much easier to hold with a wrist strap

I have disabled the exposure compensation dial and assigned this task to the front wheel a la my EM1. Easier for me to get on with.
