Re: Rachel

I like this a lot.
Is it in a lift? I keep wondering if I’d crop the white section at the top off, but I think overall it’s better left in.
The expression is wonderful, and asks a lot of questions.
It’s very reminiscent of an image in Frank”s ‘The Americans’ of a lady lift operator with a dreamy and lost expression on her face. She’s mentioned by Jack Kerouac in his preface to the book.

Thanks Mark, to be honest I can't remember the setting and it was only a week ago - can you believe that! I do know for certain it was not in a lift, but more likely in a cafe since I remember having a drink. What took my eye was the light, like a search light from the heavens and using the zone system I snapped the single frame.
The beauty of the Rollei 35 is that it becomes an extension of my finger tips, and being so small it becomes invisible to people on the street, or if they do notice they pay little attention due to it looking like a toy camera.
