Rokinon (Samyang) 7.5mm fisheye

Being the vain type I am (!) and wanting camera and lens to match, I've picked up a black Rokinon fisheye so my silver one is up for sale.

It's in great condition. Optically perfect with a bang-on infinity calibration (this can be an issue with this lens). I have example images taken with the lens if you'd like to see them - but it delivers very even sharpness across the frame with no evidence of decentering. Sharpness levels are very high as many reviews of the lens have stated.

Cosmetically it's in great condition too, but there are some scratches to the sides of the hood where the lens cap fits. This happens to all the Samyang fisheyes over time since the cap is fairly hard plastic. Lens is supplied boxed with caps etc.

For those who don't know, Samyang lenses are marketed under a number of brands, one of those being Rokinon. It's identical in all ways to the Samyang lens, but with Rokinon written on it rather than Samyang. Rokinon is the main brand name for Samyang lenses in the US. It's generally known as the Rokfish there!

I'll post pictures later, but you'll find plenty of example shots on the web.

I'm asking for 170 posted RMSD which seems to be a fair price looking at eBay and what I just paid for a black one!

Also being vain, if it was black I might have made an offer!

I know it makes no difference to the results and I know that many people like silver lenses on black bodies, but I just prefer the all black look. So, when I saw the black one at a sensible price I couldn't resist!

But the black one will absorb solar radiation and distort far more than the silver one...

Which is why you should only eat White Magnums on a sunny day

I know what you mean, when I see black 45mm's I'm tempted to swap my silver one, not quite pulled the trigger yet though!
