40-150mm f2.8 Pro lens foot..

Hello

Does the 40-150mm f2.8 Pro tripod collar lens foot have an Arca-Swiss-compatible dovetail similar to the 300mm F4?

A friend of mine has one of these and I could have sworn he told me newer versions of the 40-150 have this but looking at the Olympus site it seems like this is something I imagined in a dream!

I am looking to get one of these, maybe if there are some deals at the Photography show this year.

Thanks for any help,
Bill

Mine does not have an arca Swiss style foot. I have a plate screwed to the foot.

Ditto, lens bought June 2018.

I noticed a few days ago that the difference between a 40-150mm f2.8 and same lens with a 1.4x TC was only £50, when the MC-14 costs £249 by itself.

Thanks for replies - I will have to search out a plate or take one off something else if I get one.

Re: 40-150mm f2.8 Pro lens foot..

Arca-Swiss plates are easy to come by on ebay, but I would have liked it to be like the 300 F4 lens though. However, design failings in the 40-150 have been learnt & improved on in the 300 F4 lens, but I like & use my 40-150 lens (with MC14) most of the time. BTW, as mentioned above, it is much better value if you buy the 40-150 lens with the MC14 as a combined package.

Actually, I leave an Arca-Swiss plate on my 40-150 lens & when using the E-M1 Mk II with the HLD-9 battery grip attached the added height plate allows the camera outfit to sit almost level on the table if putting it down.
