Re: A Guide To The Olympus MYSET Function

I rely a lot on MYSETs. With my EM-1 just returned from warranty repair, and all settings back to factory values, I have to start all over again. So your advice is very useful.

Re: A Guide To The Olympus MYSET Function

The following link gives details of advised settings.

It also contains a link to an Excel spreadsheet which I use to record MYSETs on.

I hope this is of some use.

Oly 5 Mark II
In this camera you can save the setting to the computer. Great !
But it is not possible to attribute a name to any of Mysets. Shame !

I have assigned to the dial the usual settings or, the settings I use mostly to which I called SOS for memory. I am showing it to you here. (I have posted this photo here before discovering this thread).
I do have one other Myset for the moment. I am progressing slowly...

If anyone wishes I can share this setting through Google Drive.

Re: A Guide To The Olympus MYSET Function

The first problem with MySets is the over-use of the ambiguous word "set", and the easily confused dialogues to store and to load a set. The dialogue really ought to use words like LOAD and SAVE. The fact that it uses the word SET for both suggests to me that the user interface was designed by a half wit. :-(

Re: A Guide To The Olympus MYSET Function

Thank you Robert for passing by and dropping these lines.
I spent a couple of days (yes, days) studying, looking at videos and so on, so I could customize the camera with my most convenient ways.
I have finally understood how to change most of the settings. Of course, I do not know all the settings, as the hole system looks complex but I manage.
I built this cheats (hope this is the right work) which are glued to the camera.
How about that ? Like it ?
