You've not wasted any time in clocking up the shots then! That Pro Capture feature must be fun.

Maybe later this year I might be able to go for a Mk II perhaps, but I've been spending my money on outdoor garden gear & will have to work harder if I want more camera gear too.

There is a big downside to the Pro Capture mode in that it takes a long time to review the images to select the definitive image once you have them in Lightroom or or other editing program.

I can't use pro capture with my 100-400 but that 18fps racks up the shots at an incredible rate when shooting something like my fast moving wind / kite surfing, my last two sessions of more or less continuous shooting ended up with 5k+ in four hours and 2k+ in a separate one hour session (the battery acts as a great hand-warmer when shooting at this rate). Image selection / editing becomes mechanical after a while and I have no qualms in simply ripping out those which meet the need and dumping everything else (4Tb discs seem to have become very small these days )

Encouraged by your reports, and Oy's reply which claimed that the only cases it knew about were with "unapproved" memory cards, I unchained the plastic and am ow a proud owner.

Thanks for all the replies.

Expect a few dumb questions as I try to get it set up.
