Deleting copyright information

I'm trying to delete the copyright information so a new user can insert their own.
A factory reset doesn't work, I'd be most grateful for any advice.

Copyright Settings "Gear H"

go into the Artist Name & Copyright Name and select "Delete" or Edit Them to Whatever you want...

Go to Menu Cog H 'Copyright Settings -> Copyright Name' (& Artist Name - if necessary) then use the "backspace" symbol repeatedly to remove the existing info.

Are you following it with (OK) to enter the new settings though?

From p 120 of the Mk II manual
Quote:
1) Select characters from 1 and press the (OK) button.
The selected characters appear in 2.
2) Repeat Step 1 to complete the name, then highlight
[END] and press the (OK) button.
• To delete a character, press the INFO button to
place the cursor in the name area 2, highlight
the character, and press [Rubbish bin].
