Tripod quick release adapter

I have a Cullman Tripod quick release which will fit any tripod. I found it very good and easy to use, When out walking I take the camera off the tripod frequently. I thought others might be interested.

The Benbo likewise fits any tripod and is very good at around £17.

Re: Tripod quick release adapter

Quick release ... I couldn't live without it - Once I discovered it many years ago I bought as many shoes as cameras and just leave them on the bottom of each camera.

Regards
Andy

My point is that the Cullman and possibly others will fit any tripod. I use mine on a Slik 88 I bought in 1988. Great tripod still available as Slik Master Classic. The Benbo adapter is a similar price. See it here. http://www.fotosense.co.uk/shop_deta...roductID=1571#

Re: Tripod quick release adapter

There are actually quite a few that will fit any exisiting tripod.

I use a Manfrotto quick release head (http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/cache/off/pid/2376?livid=107|117&idx=118) both on my Tripod and on my Monopod.

I don't know the Cullman range, but I do suggest to anyone moving into QR and haven't got these before then I suggest that you invest in a system that is flexible such as either of the ones listed and one where the quick release has a lock to prevent accidental unlocking so you don't drop your camera by accident.

Regards
Andy

Re: Tripod quick release adapter

The one that I would recommend is the Novoflex Miniconnect.
It has a very small plate an a sturdy base. I like it because it doesn“t hurt your hand when holding the cam.
Has a very tight fit and holds a lot of weight.
