Christmas Dinner

The digital timer clipped to my t-shirt was to remind me when things were cooked.
The roast pork required more time than the vegetables, etc.

Tina, my daughter made the trifle, I fixed dinner, and grand daughter Roxy rocked up on her scooter!

What a feast, hope you weren't too knackered to enjoy eating it! Happy Christmas, mine is just about to start....

Re: Christmas Dinner

No need to wish you a good day - you look as if you all have had one.

Good to see you are drinking Penfolds and not a South American offering.
We do not appear to get the Penfolds Club Wine in the UK, were does it sit in the wine hierarchy?

Re: Christmas Dinner

Andrew - I was up at 6:00am putting it together for noon when the family arrived. They left around 3pm when I just collapsed in my recliner for a nap!

Amanda - Happy Xmas

David - Hope you're enjoying yours as much as I did mine, Merry Xmas!

Derek - Penfolds is actually no better than Keeper's Glove at less than half the price, but enjoyed it nonetheless.
I trust you are also enjoying a nice vintage of sorts

Re: Christmas Dinner

Derek, Mark - UK time is 11:00pm, I daresay you are both feeling very contented after your yuletide fare and ready for a Silent night, if not indeed a Holy one.

Edit:
Mark, I doubt that an electric carving knife would have made an impression on my pork crackle, tougher than turtle shell. Even the dog found it challenging.

Re: Christmas Dinner

My lot left me with the washing up. The one item left off my Xmas shopping list was washing up liquid. The little I had left wasn't enough to cut the pork fat off all the utensils. Stores reopen tomorrow after which all will need rewashing. Xmas is such fun, isn't it!

Andrew - My mob are an eat and run lot over whom daddy no longer wields dominion - my role has changed to chief cook and bottle washer, the balance of power has shifted!

Re: Christmas Dinner

Relax.
Sit in the corner, mumble incoherently, occasionally shout something obscene like Father Jack, and they'll soon leave you to your bottle of malt.

Re: Christmas Dinner

Father Ted, Father Jack and Dougal, what an irreverent lot!
The series vanished from our screens years ago (by Papal decree I think!)

I shall remember your good advice.
