Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Had a great few days last week in North Norfolk: birding, eating and drinking with my cousin (who's a recently-acquired E-M1ii owner).

We saw a lot of interest, but I particularly liked this Stonechat, showing off against the nicely-toned Sea Buckthorn at the back of the beach at Holkham:

E-M1ii, 300mm f4.0, MC-14.

I hope you were not standing too near that chimney! Don't think it will be there much longer.

A male breeding Baglafecht Weaver in black and bright yellow among the palms. Not the best shot in terms of feather detail and sharpness.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Every day between 4 - 5 pm Black Kites fly over the house and the forest, hunting and circling. Sometimes they come in close and sit in one of the trees next to the house looking for treats. The original photo here is not edited or cropped, as I thought it looked okay.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

What beautiful colours and clarity in the feather details and in the eye. Nicely captured and natural looking.
