Just got one!

On the spur of the moment, and in a moment of madness, I just bought a E-1 body...

... but as I'm in A or M mode most of the time with the E-510 I'm sure I'll love it... seems like a bit of a classic.

... but the HLD-2 grip giveaway on here is long past...

... but if any kind person has one for sale at a reasonable price...

Re: Just got one!

Hello DekHog

I might still have a HLD-2 in storage somewhere. Please send me a PM if interested.

Cheers, Steve.

Re: Just got one!

The prices are certainly dropping on EBay and many seem to have few bids, which is great if you want one.

Calumet always seem to offer their own brand of special deals!

Re: Just got one!

Do you think they'd be interested in buying mine for, say, 3/4s of that???

Only lightly used until recently! (ie until I bought it 2nd hand)

Re: Just got one!

Dekhog, congrats! I got one too recently, and I am flabergasted at the sheer quality of the thing! I love my E-330/420/500... but the E-1 IS special, in the same way that an Alfa Romeo Veloce is something special... I can easily see it becoming my camera.

Re: Just got one!

Well, I certainly didn't pay THAT for the one I got this week!
It is a classic camera, though. You can feel it in the way it handles. Having owned (and worked for) Alfa Romeo cars in the past, I know exactly where Giorgosmit is coming from.

Hmm, I remember someone on the box saying that "they're great cars, but you'll alway be carrying a bit of one in your pocket!".

But they are wonderful cars for photographers - you can spend hours waiting around in the remote countryside when you should be at work.

Which other manufacturer gives you that excuse
