Re: Hello from Spain

Hi David and a warm welcome here. Do you have no modern lenses for your E-1?

Hi David, glad you have joined us. Your English is far better than my Spanish!

Re: Hello from Spain

Hi Ian:
..no, i don't know what an autofocus lens is..., all my equipment is used/second hand, but carefully used...
I like spending time in composition, focussing, ....so much time (in my wife opinion).
i've arrived to digital world two months ago...so, i'm begining to understand what is the meaning of developing a raw file, braketing, ...

Re: Hello from Spain

With some rare exceptions, I think you will find that some of the modern Four Thirds lenses will deliver noticeably better results than many old lenses. You can of course focus manually with the newer lenses if you wish

Re: Hello from Spain

..Autofocus lens is a unknown world for me, i should try it..., (i shot a lot of pictures out of focus)...avoinding problems with manual lens: crop factor (x2)..., optical resolution, less contrast images (there is a lot of light traveling trough cristals here and there)...but...the results are excelent in portrait..., forcing lens to maximun aperture...., soft images, the narrow DOF, ...i don't have flash....another adavantage is equipment prices...!!...but as i've said, i will try it!!

Re: Hello from Spain

Welcome. I'm manually focussing about 95% of my shots these days.
