14-54 firmware upgrade

Just asking a question about firmware upgrade....I purchased my 14-54 lens a couple of months ago, and have used it a few times, but I see people talking about firmware upgrades and wondered if this would apply to this lens??

What do I need to do, i'm sure there are many of you out there who understand this better than me!

Cheers

Peter
