Anyone know Brighton?

I will have a couple of hours spare in Brighton later next week and I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions of what to see and shoot?

Re: Anyone know Brighton?

We were there last November and the pier had some nice photo opportunities, and also the Royal Pavilion (we didn't go inside but my parents have been there before and said we should have gone in!).

'The Lanes' in Brighton is a popular and interesting area:

Re: Anyone know Brighton?

Hi Phil,

Brighton is full of brilliant photo opportunities. I have made two trips over recent years, specifically to take pics, the most fruitful area for me has been the part between the two piers. The Lanes is also very photogenic, I need to get there next time and explore them more thoroughly.

If you want to have a look at some ideas, this page on my website has some pics from my first visit.

and my blog has a few more from this year's trip, you will need to scroll down

I hope they give you some ideas and I look forward to seeing your pics.

Re: Anyone know Brighton?

Funnily enough I was in Brighton last night. Had to take some people (this lot, in fact) from Cardiff to Brighton. Left Cardiff at 9.00pm, arrived Brighton 12.30am and then had to drive back to South Wales. Can't advise on what to see though because I didn't hang around! Lots of drunken revellers on a Saturday night - kind reminded me of my home town, Barry.

Re: Anyone know Brighton?

Thanks for the help everyone. There seems to be lots to see, far too much for my free couple of hours. I guess I'll just head for the Pavilion and the Pier via the Lanes and mooch about. Shirley those shots of Brighton are really great if I can get anything half as good I'll be happy. I also enjoyed scrolling through your blog and recognised Camber Sands from your other recent posts, they definitely are lovely beach shots. Fingers crossed for the weather.
