It was a long session. They normally finish in time for a pub lunch. It was not totally enjoyable, as I don't really like cold beer and yesterday was cold, not quite requiring me to wear gloves.

It was interesting when we paused for lunch. When I opened my can, the only person to turn and look my way was a student!

Still not doing justice to the 1 mk11 as ime just taking flowers while waiting for cars to go past testing the C-AF settings.

Thank you Peter for the encouragement. With the long rains, if I take my time, it takes me around 2 hours to explore the forest. The forest and its floor is thick with undergrowth and trees. As you have said, plenty of opportunities

Billbergia vittata Domingos Martins Bromeliad Several grow in the garden, much sought after and apparently each one sells in pots for 85 USD each in USA. Likes indirect sun and warm climate. Mature size 8"x16" (not edited or cropped)

Nice shot.

I grow B. nutans, which is similar, but with pastel pink bracts. Mine is from wild-collected seed, sown many decades ago. I have to grow mine in the cool greenhouse, protecting it from frost.
