Colour not quite right but the bill/beak was blue.

No6.

No7.

No 8. Camera shy?

No 9. Bit of a flap.

On way home came across this.

Then mother

and baby

Thanks for looking Comments welcome.

Re: finally got out in the Sun (image heavy)

That's a very nice set, Ed, with some exotic birds - I don't know the names of many of them either.Glad to hear you got out and glad you've had some sun.

They're a lovely set Ed. They are unusual ducks & love the Moorhen scrap (edited after actually reading the post).

Re: finally got out in the Sun (image heavy)

Just for info, that's not a Ruddy Duck, but a White Headed Duck (the reason for the Ruddy Duck cull). Also, don't forget the out of focus Red Crested Pochard, which have been breeding healthily on my local patch for many many years now, and spreading out wards.

Re: finally got out in the Sun (image heavy)

Super set of very interesting birds. We don't have many ornamental collections here in Lincolnshire although we do get a few Smew and Red Crested Pochard in Winter/Spring.

Re: finally got out in the Sun (image heavy)

Don't apologise for the number of shots Ed! It's occasionally very frustrating on here when folk post just one or two and you're itching to see more!

I particularly like the horse shot...a bit too soft perhaps, but lovely composition. Perhaps a bit of creative PP could make more of it?

Glad that you've been able to get out and about!

Janet
