Re: Tree

I see what you mean. I wondered about taking some of the bottom and then some of the top but neither seemed to work any better. Did you take another a step or two to the left to separate the trees?

Re: Tree

I really like it. The only issue I have is with the separation of the trees, as David commented.

Re: Tree

Thanks for the comments. I think some more cropping would help but you've identified the problem - lack of separation between the two trees. Pity I didn't move left at the time!

Re: Tree

You need some warmer tones e.g. autumn leaves and/or sunset.

Re: Tree

Paul
Its not working for me. The sky is nice but maybe over darkened. The tree is not totally against the sky so is partly lost on the hills and is not lit up and looks wrong becuase it is silouhette from the darkening of the sky so looks wrong.
You needed to be lower closer and to the left.

What does it look like with minimal processing?

Re: Tree

I'm in the "I like it" camp as its something I would have taken as a memory of a place I had been to and liked.

Re: Tree

Nicely atmospheric, but the lack of tree separation and the fact the crown of main tree is half against the hills puts me off a bit. A few metres left and maybe closer & lower (wider lens) would fix those bits, and have the effect of 'cropping' the FG a little. I'm not sure what that would do to the other bits of the image though??
