What’s the FoV of a 4mm lens on mft?
Would you really want pictures that included the top of your head in every shot ![]()

Re: More from Photokina
Circular fisheye with 210 degrees field of view. It's been promised since March/April though.

Re: More from Photokina
Those Laowa lenses are the first thing I've read about from Photokina that I might actually want to buy!
Thanks for the info ![]()

Re: More from Photokina
Yes, the Panny weight demo makes the point, but is very vulnerable to further criticisms, too.
Not only the geeky rathole about 'equivalence' (which I'm not going near), but more significantly the equating of the 100-300 f4-5.6 with a 600mm f4. Focusing performance of those two for anything moving differs like night and day, so they should have included the 100-400, which does at least enable you to get the shot!

Re: More from Photokina
That 4mm FE looks very interesting. No interest in their 12mm & 17mm offerings though. I'd miss AF and EXIF data too much, no matter how good the IQ.
That Panasonic 10-25 looks E N O R M O U S. |

I think the 10-25 is really a video lens. Laowa are great: they had a lovely bunch of Chinese engineers and sales bods on their NEC Photography Show stand in March. There are rumours they're working on a 12mm tilt-shift for MFT...

Re: More from Photokina
I use a 6.5mm Meike fisheye, with a 190 deg. field of view. The 4mm Laowa should have the advantage of projecting a fully circular image on MFT, whereas the Meike (originally designed for APS) is slightly clipped at top and bottom of the frame. This clipping has rarely bothered me, as it usually only cuts plain sky and feet! The image quality of the Meike is very good and the price only £125, so the Laowa will have to be very special to compete.
