Look like another great innitiative to promote the brand and a valuable resource for staging future events. Mark and his team are going into overdrive!

Yes this is a longer term venue and Mark said we (e-group) might be able to hold an event there...

That's interesting. Maybe as a meeting point for a street or architecture day, or perhaps even to stage our own group exhibition, which has previously been suggested. We could even hold a Meet and Greet day, for existing members to drop in and say hello and also to promote the group and brand to potential new members/users. There must be many other possibilities too.

Its nice to have a place where you can guarantee to be able to handle all the current cameras (as not all shops will have all models to hand) and do do so without any sales pressure (its not really fair to monopolise your small local independent camera shop if your purchases [budget] are few and far between). Although I have never been in one I get a good impression of the Apple Stores which adopt this approach - they know that half the visitors will not be buying on that visit.

I think it is fair to extensively handle equipment at your local store providing that when you do make a purchse it is from them. What is unfair is to use the local shop for hands-on evaluation then buy online to save a few pounds.

Re: Olympus opens new Image Space venue in City of London

Takes me back about 3 decades when Olympus had a gallery in central London with OM equipment on display. I saw Jon Swanells Nudes in the Landscape there.

Thumbs up Re: Olympus opens new Image Space venue in City of London

Popped in today and had a good long look at the pictures.

Got hands on the PEN E-P5, which is likely to be my next purchase.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Just noticed this. If you have a play with the kit at Image Space, they will give you a £50 voucher to be used against purchases over £300. I got one at the Sunday meet a few weeks ago. See here

Re: Olympus opens new Image Space venue in City of London

Popped in there today - great exhibition. They desperately need an E-M10. Also a few more lenses would be good - seems they did have more but Olympus switched the display cabinets and took the extra lenses away. Still well worth a visit ... and I got a voucher!
