Do they intend to take the needle out again?

Re: Autumn colours - North

Yes, it comes out (the needle, not the eye)!

I have it done about every month. Apart from the medical benefit, there are two others.

1) Sometimes a few bubbles are introduced. These manifest themselves as black spheres 'swinging' around at the bottom of the field of vision, thus demonstrating that images on our retina are inverted. The brain 'post processes' them to make them the right way up.

2) The second benefit is that it's a great conversation stopper if mentioned in company!

Just a nudge - this thread has fizzled out - do we have a date yet?

Might get lynched so have not joined in to be honest.

Hope it takes place but the leaves are falling fast.

I imagine you would be welcomed if you were to go. We have not met, but I feel you would make a valuable contribution to the day if you went. From my own experience, this is one of the most friendliest photography groups on the internet I belong to, on and off line. You are right about the leaves falling fast.

Not sure who you've upset Dave but if I make it myself I'd be pleased to meet up with you in person. We'd better pick a date quickly though for leaves! We could always go for a night time session and you could do some astro photography coaching.

Re: Autumn colours - North

Sadly I spent last night at the local hospice as my wife's aunt is very poorly (Julia is next of kin). I'm back there again shortly and it's now looking doubtful that I can go North this week, though you never know.

Yes family comes first Ian, all the best. Looks like the weather is going to defeat this meet up anyway I suspect.
