I am new here in spite of being registered for some time now.

Very pleasing pictures concentrating on details - a real blast from the past.

Thank you Zuiko.
How can I change the background to black ?
-
I have a small problem guys. When I was shooting I was doing so with "Face and eye detection"
When I chiming I could see the point the camera had chosen for me. But I could not see that point in LR and I would like to.

You could try this plugin:

http://www.lightroomfocuspointsplugin.com/

It doesn't list Olympus cameras, but worth a try.

Lovely shots BTW. I remember as a kid that one of my friends' parents had an A40. It was sh1t back then - but as with many things as they move into antiquity they become interesting!

Thank you Paul.
This car was in a very modest show. It is recovered but not with much perfection. It has it+s value of course. The owner was very proud of it, obviously.

The above cannot be an A40, but like the shot. I had an English A40 it was a bit 'estate car like'. Saw me through some fearsome bumper car rides when the A40 (road) morphed into the M4

iso, I do not own the car. It is from somebody else. However making a quick search on the web... I find this image. Please, click on the image itself which will guide you to the original image.

Please look at the inside:

Sorry.. it is. like many manufacturers at the time they had a basic design that they would put out in as many variants as they thought they would sell (manual assembly being more flexible than 1980's production lines [oddly thats coming back with more intelligent robots])

from wikipedia here's a list of the variants
  • 1947–50 Austin A40 Dorset 2-door saloon
  • 1947–52 Austin A40 Devon 4-door saloon
  • 1947–56 Austin A40 Countryman 2-door estate car
  • 1947–56 Austin A40 Van 2-door panel van
  • 1947–56 Austin A40 Pick-up 2-door pick-up truck
  • 1948–5? Austin A40 Tourer 2-door, four passenger tourer built in Australia [1]
  • 19??–19?? Austin A40 Coupe Utility 2-door coupe utility, produced in Australia [2]
  • 1950–53 Austin A40 Sports 2-door, four passenger convertible with twin-carburettors and aluminium bodyshell
  • 1952–54 Austin A40 Somerset 4-door saloon and 2-door convertible
  • 1954–56 Austin A40 Cambridge 4-door saloon
  • 1958–67 Austin A40 Farina 2-door saloon and 2-door hatchback
