Thanks to the engineering efforts in drainage over the centuries the path I was on was only mildly soggy

It seems that a lot of the beaches in the vicinity of Horsey were washed away by the 'Beast from the East'. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-43316394

I'd seen the pictures of the errosion at Winterton over the winter but that looks a lot worse. I guess we have to trust them when they say it will recover.
Quite scary.
We visited Dunwich last summer and I had no idea about most of that town disappearing into the sea!
