Stability of the SD card.....

I think there was a glitch there. I found recently, when I took a video of the Blood Moon, the camera proceeded to put the next batch of photos onto card two. When I downloaded the usual card one for the photos, I was surprised to find those latter photos were not there...They were safely on the 2nd card, along with the video.

My settings are photos to go onto card one, and video onto card two.

I had this exact issue trying to update my E-M1.

Eventually I gave up on the Updater and tried Viewer 3 instead, which declared that there were updates for Viewer, Studio and the Updater. After the update (it's now at 2.1.3), the Updater managed to update the E-M1 without problem. E-M1 MkII was no problem (with 2.1.3) and settings backed up and restored as expected.

Oh - I thought from your original post that you'd managed to get the update to take somehow, but glad it was useful.

As noted above and elsewhere, this was a bit of a damp squib of an update. I hope there's more to come but beginning to have my doubts.

Yes it did work in the end, but an updated version of the Updater will be useful for the future. Usually / often software tells you there is an update available!...
