A settings question

Considering upgrading one of my cameras,i do wildlife and like to use auto iso and an easy and quick exposure compensation.
I have a EM10MK11 and Panasonic G80, with both of these if i use shutter priority and shoot wide open (Leica 100-400) i can do this, rear dial shutter speed front dial exposure compensation while using auto ISO but i would like to shoot manual so i can control shutter and aperture.

It looks like the Panasonic G9 has 3 dials i can program,ie back top shutter speed, front top exposure adjustment, and a rear dial i could program for apeture adjustment, no need to press any buttons so adjustments could be made as i panned with a bird.

Is there any way the EM1 MK11 can be set for this way of working.

Thanks

mike

Re: A settings question

Hi Mik,

Your post seems to have slipped thru the net.

I think anything on the EM10 will be able to done on the Em1 mk 2

On myset up, the rear dial changes the shutter speed, and the front dial change the exposure compensation of the shot.

But all is programmable, assign what you like to any dial or button.

Hope that helps....

You can do this on the E-M1 Mkii using the Fn Lever.
In Manual Mode with the Fn Lever in Position 1 the dials adjust Shutter Speed and Aperture.
Then flicking the Fn Lever to position 2 changes the dial behaviour to adjust Exp Comp and ISO.

I use this for action photography to 'preset' the shutter speed & Aperture,
then, with Auto-ISO selected, move the Fn Lever to position 2 and use the dial to change Exp Comp according to the nature of the subject.

Page 29 of the Mkii manual mentions this feature.
