Tonight I would stick to using the 12-40 Pro lens as it will perform better in the lower light being a constant F2.8 & focus faster with CD-AF. The 12-60 SWD lens, as good as it is is F4 at 60mm (I got some good night shots in Sydney with it in the past, on the E-M1).
BTW, by comparison, the 18-55mm APSC is near equivalent angle of view (35mm equ. 27-82.5mm, while the 12-40 is 24-80mm equ.)

I fiddle with violins (when I'm not fiddling with a camera).

Re: My New toy, MMF-3

Thanks Ros and Larry. It was you Larry who advised me well to use the 12-40 pro when I texted you a few hours before the meet, it was the right choice. Only a dozen or so members showed up for the walking photo tour about Wang; only one Oly among the Canikoners, guess who! Could not believe it when one Canoner attached himself to me at the start and immediately went into bagging 4/3 and MFT … he was as ignorant as Paddy's pigs basing his opinion on hearsay etc. I avoided the bait with some careful diplomacy. Will be interesting to compare results at the next meet perhaps. I will post some of my own soon.
