Maybe he's a liberal Tory then?

Where did I put my macro lens?

Yes, it seems to have shrunk just a little.

Hopefully I will win the 60 mm macro lens in the competition that I entered the other day.

However, I do hope you haven't lost your macro lens Harold as according to the papers you might get taxed for short-term memory loss.

Re: Has Theresa May shot herself in the foot

I've just been listening to Boris, on the Radio 4 PM programme, being grilled by Eddie Mair. Boris made Diane Abbott's recent interview performance look positively eloquent.

He bumbled and blustered in response to questions about actual policies in the context of the Queen's Speech.

I thought he made a complete idiot of himself. He quite obviously hadn't bothered to read the Queen's speech (idle git) & had to try and wing it. He totally failed. Eddie Mair is really good at skewering politicians not by bullying and hectoring but by asking the right question and letting them rabbit on - so much better than Paxman etc.

I see a great future for Boris, as Car Park Attendant at the H of C!

I was thinking more along the lines of serving up waffles at some greasy spoon.

Are you sure? I think he might have been in the Piers Gaveston Society along with Cameron but where did you get the information about the Bullingdon. I very much doubt he had the money for Bullers - he comes from a modest background and went to Ardingly College in Sussex. (my mother was secretary to the Headmaster of the Junior School when he was Head Boy)

Re: Has Theresa May shot herself in the foot

There's been some debate about Jezza not bowing to the monarch at the state opening of parliament, preceding the Queen's speech. The independent suggests precedent, but he's seen winking which could lead to a different conclusion -> https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/385023...und-and-winks/

In fact it was May who broke protocol. It is normal procedure not to bow/curtsey at that point in the opening ceremony. Cameron (correctly) never did.

A bit like the forces really. If it wears a crown, bow to it; if it moves, salute it; if it doesn't move, paint it!

Re: Has Theresa May shot herself in the foot

"Points of View" discussed the recent Milliband/Vine programme and it was stated that "to restore balance" Iain Duncan Smith will be guest presenter shortly.
