Bad Day to be an Insect

Lots of birds were busy collecting food for their young at Carlton Marshes today. The first two shots show a Sedge Warbler with two damselflies and below them is a Reed Warbler with a Crane Fly.

E-M1 II and 75-300 II.

Great shots. Watching Springwatch it's amazing what food comes into nests!

Good effort Ron, be nice to see what sort of shots you could get with proper kit!

Yes, I would like to trade it in for something decent but I would be embarrassed accepting money for such a useless pile of junk.

PS. I hope you were joking.

Re: Bad Day to be an Insect

The birds wouldn't know which way to turn around here this week. We had a huge 'hatching' of Mayflies at the weekend. In places buildings are covered, imagine 100+ on a door or a couple of hundred on a window. It's probably 12 years since I last saw numbers like this.
