Agree very tricky, I'm looking at it thinking what an earth to do lol. Maybe several glasses of whisky will get my brain in action.

Perhaps the 'Famous Pheasant' whisky will help. There is a lot of colour information and detail in the image...

Wow never thought I'd be having a go at an editing challenge let alone be the first to post a try. Anyway here is my attempt done in Lightroom.

Re: Editing Challenge No. 4

I thought I'd have a play with this in Lightroom as I'm still learning.

Thanks for the challenging image Peter.

Re: Editing Challenge No. 4

OK after a bit more egging on by Peter here is my second go in Lightroom. I didn't like the background in my original version so I've just dropped the exposure and exaggerated the sunny highlights. This is a great learning experience.

Phill

It is a pleasure to see your thoughts and attempts. Keep going, you never know what will happen and what else you will come up with.

I am lucky to have a field behind my house with pheasants, deer and other wildlife. Over the years I have taken pictures in snow, sun and rain.

The reason I chose this shot was that it would offer a challenge. It was early in the morning, hoar frost and against the light. On the day you virtually needed sunglasses when the birds were in the sunlight.

Re: Editing Challenge No. 4

Photoshop Elements 12 can not read this RAW file (EM5ii is too new for this version of the software) so most of the manipulation was done in OV3 and various layers (i.e. edits) exported as jpegs and then combined in Elements. Boy do you have to dig deep to find the colours.
