Re: Olympus 7 14 f4

Shame this suffers with the same filter issue as the newer 7-14 f2.8. Olympus never learned or simply didnt come up with a solution due to physical constraints, which is a pitty considering it a wide angle lens.

Is there a way to overcome this with this lens? If I need to control exposure (say sky and landscape), I would take two bracketed images and merge them in PP.

Sorry for the late reply. For best results put the camera on the tripod and using live view (or whatever it is called) to see the correct exposure for the sky. Then do the same for the landscape. You will then have two images that you can combine in PS but it does require layers. There was an article in one of the recent Practical Photography issues that went through this but I am sure there are loads more out there..

Up to 375 before last minute frenzy kicks in, so I think you'll do okay.

Re: Olympus 7 14 f4

It will be interesting to see the eventual price. I would like to replace mine with the m43rds version sometime but unless I could get a reasonable price for it, I would probably hang onto it given that I don't use it a great deal (it is a bit of a lump with the MMF3) but the results are always stellar!
