Looks dodgy to me, buy it now button embedded in item description; never seen that one before, though I have seen embedded email addresses on hijacked accounts

Agreed, if you look a little further there are several cameras apparently for sale with the questionable 'buy it now' button.
Interestingly no matter what the camera or other item for that matter the buy it now prices are the same. Looks to be a scam, perhaps identity theft.

Re: Em1 ii going very cheap at the mo

I've only ever been on eBay once, and that was ten years ago when I was after an Oly e-3. Similar to this type of sales pitch where the seller had a 99% record. It turned out to be a scam where over 100 people, myself included got ripped off. Even the excellent feedback was false. One person managed to get peoples email addies and we formed a group. Eventually, most, if not all got refunded. It appeared he - the scammer - had got away with 40,000+. We later found out this had been his second time around - two years previously under another seller name. Regrettably, the previous punters never got their monies refunded. He did a runner to Scotland and then on to Wales where he got into bother and was nicked for fighting. As his scam had put him on a wanted list he got done for that as well. It turned out his home address was just a few streets away from where he had lived before disapearing.

Just wondering if it is the same guy re-inventing himself?

Yes, something fishy in the item description with all the items he has for sale. I haven't seen this one before but I tend only to buy small hardware items off ebay as its easier than trying to source them locally.

Re: Em1 ii going very cheap at the mo

what price was it offered for?

I followed the link but found nothing, assumed it had sold, then searched for the cheapest sold recently to investigate. 1325. (No intention of buying; just curious). Hope I've not clicked on a dodgy link. It looks legit. I think maybe the dodgy ones have been removed

This kind of nonsense reminds me how lucky we are to have this splendid forum. By far the best and friendliest UK place to to buy and sell our gear.

John
I, probably amongst others, reported them myself.
Sunday evening is normally a good one for lots of fraudulent classic bike and car listings.
