Skeleton building.

Passing through Birmingham this morning I had a walk up the canals on the east side.
Something I liked about the light and shadows on this half demolished building.

Re: Skeleton building.

I absolutely agree about the light and shadows, they really make the picture.

That's not half demolished, they're just getting it ready to open as a workhouse next week, helping to bring back Victorian values.

Re: Skeleton building.

Any idea what the building was? It's a great spot, well captured.

Re: Skeleton building.

To my old fashioned eye, this lighting and starkness cry out for monovhrome.
An extremely well spotted image.

Re: Skeleton building.

Fantastic Andy I can see why it caught your eye.
Looking at it I can't help thinking about all the effort that went into the construction.

Hi Phil

Not sure ,school, factory,or workhouse as John surggests.

Here it is from the front.

I'd loved to have got closer but it was all fenced off(which doesn't normally stop me)and I had the canal between me and it.

Thanks for the comments.
