Camera Body (Kent Area)
Hi guys
I have a wedding on Saturday and my camera has gone south, I would be grateful if anyone is selling a camera body which I could collect on Friday after work. Preferably EM1. or alternately an earlier E5 Thanks all Alan

Re: Camera Body (Kent Area)
Would you be interested in an E-P5 with VF-4.
Unfortunately, it's Rainham Essex not Kent... ![]()

Thanks, I had not considered em5' em10's or pens due to trying to get to grips with another type of body, particulary size etc. What were you thinking cost wise, should my desperation exceed shop opening? I'm sure you would be one member most likely to have an E5 or spare em1 tucked away?? LOL Thank you Alan

Re: Camera Body (Kent Area)
The average price of sold EP-5s on eBay is £225 and the VF-4s £105
My one has a leather Half Case, which would be included. £300 cash for the lot... ![]()

Re: Camera Body (Kent Area)
I'm rather angry myself as I recently sold my second em1 body... I have a tendency to procure two of everything...

Re: Camera Body (Kent Area)
Hi Alan,
Sorry to hear about your technical issues in advance of the wedding... Have you found a solution to getting a camera by tomorrow? The reason. Ask is because I have an em1 ready for a new home, but didn't reply earlier as I'm in East London (Stratford to be precise). Pm me if you you're still needing the camera and want to discuss logistics - happy to give you my number and have a call instead Keith |

Re: Camera Body (Kent Area)
Probably too late but I have an E5 that I wouldn't mind selling.
I am up in Co. Durham but Royal Mail Special Delivery does a good job.

Re: Camera Body (Kent Area)
As a recent owner of some nice old FT glass I'm intrigued to know whether the E-5 might offer any advantages over E-M1 with MMF-3. But OTOH I really don't need any more kit ...

Re: Camera Body (Kent Area)
Well I have just returned home 11.45pm after long drive into London to collect an excellently preserved copy of a an em1.
I am thrilled at its condition, the cost and the help offered. My bacon has been saved. I now realise I want a mark 2 version however. Thank you all and especially KeithZ xx I'm tired but thrilled

The old E-5 is bigger and heavier than the µFour Thirds bodies, and is probably not far short of Nikon D750 weight and proportions. But you do get an optical viewfinder, and the body size is better balanced for the bigger FT glass. Four Thirds glass provides full functionality on µFour Thirds bodies using the MMF3 adaptor, but focusing is a bit 'iffy' with some lenses, especially the wide angles. However, the E-5's sensor is older technology than the E-M1 and E-M5, so low light performance is not as good. Interestingly I have both the OM-D E-M1 and OM-D E-M5 (Mk1 µ43) bodies, and whilst the OM-D E-M1's handling, design and overall performance is undoubtedly better, the OM-D E-M5 seems to have noticeably better low light performance.
