Re: Some of my portraits...

Nice, but perhaps make them smaller so we can see all of it at one time? Say 800px tall max? Stops other people stealing the image at a decent size too.

Strangely, when this image was first posted, it was a perfect viewing size even on my laptop. I can only assume it's now been edited for some weird reason to a size suitable for a small cinema screen (3193 x 4124 pixels )

Using Ctrl and - twice works OK for me when needed. This is a lovely portrait Antonio.

Re: Some of my portraits...

Seems to be two threads with the same post but different replies. The other one has a smaller sized picture.

Ctrl + Scroll Wheel also works Phil but the pic is still a ridiculous size for forum viewing. So strange how it was perfect when originally posted. You're right, it is a great photo

Maybe an admin could put the posts together in one thread?

Other foruns scale the image so this never happens...
Corrected !

Re: Some of my portraits...

Interesting faces, but not really any context. I'm not a fan of the dirty border to highlight the face as it looks unnatural. Nothing wrong with the focus or detail, just slightly boring.

I can argue that the context is the natural available scenario the people are in... I can even agree with !
Would you consider this as a portrait as it is contextualised or just a religious place with a prayer ? Or both...

True, but it does not make it interesting. Where is the story for the viewer? Presumably you asked the sitter if you could take their photo, so why not go the extra mile and stage the scene, especially if you have travelled halfway around the world to be there?

By posting here you are asking for people to give up their valuable time to provide their own critical opinion of your photos in order for you to gain some insight into what real people might think of them. You don't have to agree with my opinion, but it can't be wrong as it is my opinion.

If you want high praise of mediocre output you should post in Foto Fair like the rest of us!

Re: Some of my portraits...

What the hell ?
Are you admin or what ? To send me away just like that ? Who entitle you to do so ?
Show me your contextualised portraits for a change !
Cheers !
