Re: Einfinty 40-150mm Pro bargain...

Just look at the difference in price and be prepared to spend some of it if the lens needs repair or maintenance. It's the same decision when we choose to purchase second hand. Most lenses are trouble free, even 'electronic' lenses.

HDEW sell stuff with a dealer's warranty only and are highly rated (including by me).
Not sure that I would be keen to buy from this particular place though - a bit toooo cheap methinks!

Worth a punt, nothing much to lose if purchased on a credit card.

Good for you, I'm sure it'll be fine if paid for using your flexible friend.

I see that they have the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II for 1245.00, which is very cheap. Does this price include VAT and Import duty?

Almost certainly not, but still spookily cheap after that's added.

They say that they ship from UK warehouse so I would have thought that duty was paid on it.

Correct Dave. The small print states the advertised price is what you actually pay and all UK shipments are done locally so there should be no additional cost involved.

SHIPPING COSTS
We offer free shipping to most countries. For shipment to regions that are less accessible or regarded as remote areas by couriers, additional postage cost will be added automatically at checkout. In other words, the price you see on our website is final and you need not pay extra, unless the region in which you resides is considered a remote area. All charges will be shown before confirmation of payment

United Kingdom - We expedite our orders from our UK warehouse via Royal Mail, DPD or Yodel. The handling time for an order takes around 2-3 working days typically. You will receive your purchase usually on the 4th - 7th working day after your payment is credited to our account.

Yes, I couldn't find any mention of duty or VAT either but given it's sent from within the UK there shouldn't be a problem. Don't panic Mr Mannering

Regards,

John

I have ordered the 12-40mm Pro.

Price as quoted, no extras, delivery about a week (I hope)...

As said, they have a wharehouse in the UK, so comes from UK in theory.

Very tempted by the 40-150mm pro, but will await the first order to be completed.....
