A wet day at the airport.

I drove into Sydney Airport, not relishing the wet conditions, but I don't like to waste an opportunity for some photos, so I took my Stylus 1 & then edited the photos in Olympus Workspace (that is now a more capable program than OV3) using their Clarity & Dehaze sliders, especially since the subject was seen through four different glass panels (as seen further down).

The view behind the security glass where we can wave to the parting passengers (if they pass for certain gates).

I'm impressed with the Olympus Workspace software (which has now been updated to 1.0.1 for Windows only).

Re: A wet day at the airport.

You haven't said why you drove to the airport (unless it was to take pictures of the rain).

It might seem that way. We are still getting showers (& storms) but the weekend will be hot (& steamy). I think we'll be in for a long dry spell soon though (according to long term predictions).

I've always been 'taxi service' for my family (children) as they fly in & out & this was another time I was taking a daughter to fly out. Traffic is fairly horrendous (Sunday morning) getting to Int'l Departures but I go around those areas & come back in from the Domestic end to pass all the departure cue & turn into Arrivals & into the car park (& go up the levels). I have my alternate routes I can take when the traffic on the M5 & Tunnel is backing up.
The previous time my daughter & husband were over (from 'across the ditch') they had spent a day in town (Sydney) with the family (I stayed at home & looked after the dogs, & worked ) having gone in by train & there is a train line to the airport from the city, although it carries extra charges, one for the privilege of travelling on that line & another to exit through the airport station. They either get at you with a high cost for parking or coming by train.

Anyhow, that was why I was there on a wet Sunday. I don't go there for the fun of it.
