NAS Server?

I want to liberate my USB printer and external USB HD from my desktop computer, so I can access the devices via my wifi network, particularly with a Linux laptop.

This one looks like it might suit, but it doesn't mention Linux. This may only be an omission, because my (limited) experience is that these sort of devices are configured with a web interface, so can be configured on Linux.

Ideas anyone, please? Are there any 'gotchas' that I need to be aware of?

Jim

I've never been charged for low-cost items such as this. I think the rule is that 'they' don't touch you if the item is under 50.

Re: NAS Server?

My neighbour bought a single port USB to Ethernet adapter and couldn't get it to work.

NAS is no simple thing; the device will have its own operating system and CPU + memory onboard. I'd be wary without some feedback from people who have used this product.
