Except they are probably non genuine ones. Be careful as there are quite a few fakes on ebay. I prefer the Sandisk Extreme (Pro for my E-M5) cards & I wouldn't trust any sale unless it is in original packaging & with their serial number.

That's put me in my place. Never used them but Verbatim have been around a long time and specialise in this type of product. Certainly seems a good deal for 16GB anyway.

It doesn't give a maximum read/write speed & looks like it might be slow (older generation?). I would still stick with Sandisk (the latest generation only for the latest cameras) for speed & reliabilty. Personally, I would save the Verbatum for a digital photo frame where speed (or possible failure) wouldn't matter.

I'm not too clued up but class 10 cards... Most SD card that I've used in the past have been 4 (4mb/s) or 6 (6mb/s) and amply fast, presumably if these are 10mb/s that is fast enough?

This is a pull from the Verbatim website

"The speed class rating is the official unit of speed measurement for SD Cards defined by the SD Association. It is equal to 8 MBit/s, and it measures the minimum write speeds based on "the best fragmented state where no memory unit is occupied".

Class 10: Guaranteed minimum data transfer rate of 80 Mbit/s (10 MByte/s)."

Not a bad deal, but that's only 3 off the normal price. Quite oddly, eBuyer don't appear to stock Sandisk cards.....

I've used ebuyer for stuff in the past and they have been very good. Keen prices and quick delivery. Plus a quick repacement on a power supply when it went wrong just a few days before the 1 year guarantee period expired.

Thanks for heads up on it. I hadn't noticed whether it was bits or bytes, because I'm used to seeing 45MB/s on the Extremme IV & 60MB/s on the Extreme CF cards & the Extreme Pro SD card I'm using in the E-M5 is 95MB/s. I have probably gone over the top, but I just didn't want the cards to have any slowing effect in the camera & Sandisk are recommended by Olympus, plus I don't want a card failure before I saved the images (like my daughter had with an Olin card).

I just looked up Verbatum (AU) & they give surprisingly little technical info.
