Daylight Saving Time ends in 2 hrs time !

Splashes of Autumnal colour today at historic Beechworth, NE Victoria.

E-PL3 + 14-42mm kit lens

Unusual composition, admittedly, but it shows the riotus colour.

I was rather taken with the car ...

I don't feel qualified to do a critique so I'll just say what I see.Gorgeous colours and an image of what I always imagined parts of Australia to look like.
All the best
Iain

Thank you, Iain.

With little exaggeration, the colours were as vibrant as they appear. Beechworth is an old gold and silver mining town, now pretty much designated a tourist town.

Its Gaol, still open to miscreants, is also famous (or infamous) for having accommodated the notorious bushranger, Ned Kelly at the time of his arrest and prior to his hanging at the Old Melbourne Gaol in January, 1880.

Thanks Chevvy, and so much of our early history is linked to yours.

Nice shots, Mark! I have just ordered myself an E-PL3 with this kit lens and underwater housing. Nice to see such quality. Are you pleased with the cameras abilities? I need something under water that focuses faster than the XZ-1

Re: Daylight Saving Time endsin 2 hrs time !

Cathrine, I am delighted with the E-PL3 which for most situations replaces my other E-'s.

I concluded, why carry a cumbersome 10mp camera when the E-PL3 IQ is comparable to E5, even with its m14-42 kit lens.
However, like any cam it has its cons, namely its diabolical menu that requires more dextrous fingers and a sharper mind than mine to navigate in haste.
Aside from my 43 lenses, the kit is presently the only m43 lens I own.
There is an interesting mZuiko 70-300 available for around $1,000.00AU, however, not being the Chancellor of the Bank of Norway, I don't see me ordering one anytime soon.

That said, the E-PL3 is packed tight with advanced features, listed in detail at B&H, from whom I bought it. If you haven't already ordered it I would also recommend the VF-2 as it conserves much battery power.

In conclusion, it is a liberating and seductive device, makes you want to shoot pictures with it all the time - I think you will be well pleased with yours when you have it in hand.
