Ffordes Break In

I know a lot of people on the forum have used Ffordes to purchase and trade-in/sell their camera gear over the years mostly with very positive feedback. I am also aware of a good few Leica fans on here so it seemed right to bring the sad news of a large scale robbery of mainly Leica gear from the store on Wednesday.
A serious amount of kit was stolen and full details including serial numbers and details for contacting the police are available on Ffordes Facebook page - https://m.facebook.com/ffordesphotographic/

That's quite a disaster I hope they are able to recover as much as possible and catch the culprits. Hopefully Ffordes will be able to survive this. I've never actually used them but have come close several times. It would be a real shame if they folded because of this.

I use them a lot, both as a seller and a buyer... but I'd have thought they would have insured their stock to guard against this?

I had just sent them a box of Oly gear and as far as one can tell from phone calls it is business as usual. Although I am a trifle nervous
