Oly Camedia c-8080 WZ Monitor problem

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this question on one of the classic Olympus cameras, the good old C-8080. After having just recently resurrected this beauty, I have been unable to activate the monitor after pressing the monitor button to be able to go from the monitor to the viewfinder. Once again pressing the monitor button will not activate the monitor in lieu of the viewfinder. What am I forgetting to do?? Is there a factory reset? This is a great camera with an outstanding lens that needs to be used again.

Re: Oly Camedia c-8080 WZ Monitor problem

Hi Phil,
It may be the wrong Oly forum, so spread it around a bit. Also what is called a C-8080 your end is probably an ZCVB-0b here in Europe. However it may be that the 'Oldies' this end have gone to sleep' and the 'Youngsters' aren't looking anyway.
Good Luck

I think Phil is in the right place. The first digital camera I bought was 2001 was an Olympus 4040 a predessor of the 8080. Sadly, I can’t help him.

Agreed I think there's a chance Phil might find some help here, I had a C-8080WZ for a while a few years ago but sadly cannot remember enough to help.

The reference manual can be found here.
