New to me E30

Got myself a bargin an e30 with just 419 clicks under its belt looks brand new now got to find my way through the menu system and settings and 10 months remaining on the warranty and the guy transfered the warranty over. So my trusty E510 will be up for grabs after crimbo and a couple of lenses.

Well done - you'll love using it compared to the E-510

You'll love it

Andrzej Wrotniak has what he calls a 'setup cheat sheet', a longer article re customising the E-30 and a technical review that you might find useful.

Re: New to me E30

Thank you for your comments, question which lens would you say was best out of 14 - 42mm 3.5 or 14 45 3.5 lenses.

My tuppence says the newer 14-42, but of course just that little bit shorter.

Definitely the 14-42 for sharpness. I found the 14-45 gave more pleasing (warmer) colours, but was a bit of a heavy lump, partly due to it's better build quality.

Re: New to me E30

The 14-42 is the sharper of the two. I used to always favour my 11-22 over the 14-45 for image quality, now I do not mind taking the 14-42 out in its place sometimes
