Happy to be here

Hi, I'm so happy to find this forum.
Been a Nikon fan for a long time but was looking for a nice sized mirrorless with a viewfinder and bought the OMD -EM10 Mark II.
Love this little camera and hardly look at the others now.

On a limited budget so just wondering where members go looking for reasonably priced accessories for this camera.
Currently considering a hot shoe flash.

Thanks for having me

Stephen

A warm welcome to the forum Stephen. Your first point of call for purchasing any used photo gear should be the For sale or wanted small ads section on here. Just make a Wanted post and see if anyone has what you need.

For new, there are several reputable retailers such as Wexphotographic.

Hoping you enjoy your time on here,

Best regards,

John

Re: Happy to be here

Welcome Stephen.

As Phil said this forum is good for bits and pieces.

I use Ebay sometimes, Wex and occasionally Talk Photography.

If I am unsure about what I want/need, I am quite happy to go for a 2nd hand item to test it, then its easy to move on if not suitable...........

Re: Happy to be here

A warm welcome to the forum Stephen.
Glad to hear you are pleased with the E-M10 MKII, a great little camera.

I'm not a flash user myself but I understand from other posts on here that the Metz range of flashes for M4/3rds cameras is regarded by many as a very satisfactory and cheaper option to the Olympus range.

You will likely get a wider range of replies to this specific requirement (or others) if you start a separate thread in the E-M10 MKII or Flash sections rather than just in the Introduce Yourself section.

Kind Regards.

I think it's because, as we established in the "why? and because" thread the three of us are hard of hearing. I am evolving a theory that because we miss-hear so much of what is said to us our brains develop a process of not believing what we hear and substituting an alternative. I think this process then gets transferred into the part of our brain that deals with written information and we get names mixed up.

I call this theory the "Windy, Thursday, Cup of Tea" syndrome. For an explanation of this see post#45 in this thread. http://e-group.uk.net/forum/showthre...t=45494&page=3

Apologies to Stephen for going off topic.

Re: Happy to be here

Thanks all, great advice and thanks for the welcome.
I don't use flash as a rule but was at an event recently where it would have been helpful and the built in flash didn't really cut it.
I'll be taking your advice and checking the options mentioned

Cheers

Stephen
