I've not been idle. (photo heavy)

I haven't posted photos for a while so its about time I did.
The last 2 to 3 months have been very busy.
On the fun side here are a few of what I've been up to.

In the spring paid a visit to Hill House, one Of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's masterpieces. No photos inside but in the garden there were CRM flowers otherwise known as Snakehead Fritillaries.

Continuing the flower theme had a bit of my usual fun in the conservatory.

and in my mum's garden.

Up to the Moray Firth and this one is for Stoates. Does he recognise it?

Further along the coast is the Scottish Lighthouse museum which is well worth a visit. (and there are no restrictions on photography)
Light on lens

and the 7-14 looking up at the 150W bulb which cast a light for 20 miles.

But the recent big event was not the Jubilee but my partner's son's wedding. The ceremony was in the chapterhouse of Elgin cathedral.
The main cathedral has never been the same since the Wolf of Badenoch took exception, sword and flame to the bishop.

So here are the flower girls and page boys. Hannah on the left is my partner's grand-daughter.

The bride and groom, Kellyanne and Jamie.

Fate sealed with a kiss.

And Hannah's sister Sophie (7 weeks) got in on the act.

And no I wasn't the official photographer, just having fun, keeping it simple, E-5, 12-60, FL-50R.

And if they don't make Chevvy go Awww, I'll eat my hat.

There is also some other news but that will be in an other thread.

Obviously you made good in your absence, Duncan. A visit to Hill House and some shots of your SIL's wedding.

But those Snakehead Fritillaries look quite ominous ... how could one be sure they are not microphones in diguise !

Nice shots Duncan - you have been busy
I like the lighthouse museum shots - must try to visit it sometime.
That blue window looks vaguely familiar, but I can't figure out where I have seen it or one similar?

Thanks both.
The window is in Findhorn near the pub.
The flowers are remarkable. How (and why) did evolution come up with chequerboard patterns? They also have a high proportion of albinism but if you look at those you can still see patterning.

Hi Duncan. Sorry I mised this first time around - I have been 'down South' on a course at Halton for a couple of weeks and have not been around the forum too much lately.

I didn't recognise the window (though my son did). I definitely don't have your encylopedic memory or eye for detail but will be taking a walk up to the bay to find it over the weekend sometime!
