It's a grey area, Jim.

"Apologise vs. apologize - grammarist.com/spelling/apologise-apologize/

Apologize is the preferred spelling in American and Canadian English, and apologise is preferred in varieties of English from outside North America. This is the case despite the fact that apologize is the original form and was once standard even in British English (and is still used by some British publishers)."

I was just being traditional.

The great thing about the English language is that it is flexible and one sise (size?) doesn't fit all.

There's lots of is it s or z words. I usually type s and auto correct changes it to a z on my tablet and phone. Still not as bad as tire, donut or plow. Or chips (crisps) unless they're on a plate with fish when they're now chips rather fries.
