Back to Front - 1351 mile tour

To return to the beginning of our tour, we were not so fortunate with the weather at this time, so the blue skies are not a prominent feature of the five pix below:-

1. A very large viaduct for a very little train - Crimple Viaduct, near Harrogate

2. Hey there, that's not my reflection - I'm a wee cottage! Durham Cathedral getting in on the act

3. A miscellany of bridges - Newcastle-upon-Tyne to the right, Gateshead to the left

4. The approach to Bamburgh Castle is truly breathtaking!

5. Castle - on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne

Re: Back to Front - 1351 mile tour

Thank you for your comments, Paul.

Just a few more from the trip! The first couple taken in Durham - we were lucky to be blessed with a lovely sunny day there exactly two weeks ago - a contrast to today's weather as shown at the memorial service for the late Sir Bobby Robson held at the Cathedral.

1. A view of the Castle towering over the city

2. A cormorant enjoying a rest on a well placed log on the River Wear in Durham

3. A blustery beach scene at Bamburgh, showing the Farne Islands in the distance

4. A calm scene in the Lake District

5. A potentially peaceful scene in the Derbyshire Peak District interrupted by a dangerous bend!

Regards, Ann1e
