Re: Murphy Strikes!

Mark,

Sorry to learn of your predicament. I would be interest to know the technicalities of the failure in due course.

I would love to help you out but I just blew all my cash on two lenses.

Harold

Re: Murphy Strikes!

That sounds scary.

Was it the emergency braking system taking over? That seems to be a regular problem on some cars, with airbags going off too in some cases so I'm told.

I hope you get it fixed soon.

I thought that driving campervans was mandatory at that age. it sees so with my friends anyway

Mind you when your camper breaks down it can be just as much hassle as we found out.

Indeed

Under her own power she cruises at a massive 65mph and had been known to make 70 downhill on an empty road (drum brakes at the rear so I don't push it)

Anyway enough about me .. hows Mark ?

Regards
Andy

I'm hoping his lack of updates means he's on the road without a signal in the bush!

Thanks Nigel.

I'm not sure whether it was the emergency braking system that has caused the brakes to lock up but that's what happened.

Mazda is waiting for an ABS module and pads to be shipped from Melbourne, so we are stranded in Darwin until at least next Friday at a crumby hotel.

Rest assured Andrew, I am surviving with a lady I met in Darwin this week.

As you can imagine we've been plenty busy exploring the city which is utterly exhausting in 30C heat beneath clear blue skies ... life can be tough at times.
