Still not sure of cost, is that the total cost of two adults there and back (£220) or does ferry for those two adults there and back actually cost the aforementioned £440?

Sorry for being thick but we’d been toying with the idea of going but those prices are enough to put me right off (without all the being sick stuff!)

You only get what you pay for ! I would have thought £220 total return flight cost for 2 persons would be peanuts for all you wealthy retired Armchair Politicians. Don't forget the new helicopter service either

You tell them, Rebecca! My idea of a holiday is 2 or 3 days staying with friends in Yorkshire. IIRC the Scilly Isles was a favourite holiday destination for Harold Wilson. Now there was a man who knew all about the value of the pound in your pocket!

Go ahead and book it Dave, and make sure you post the pictures here for us all to enjoy.

Jim, did you arrive at that conclusion all by yourself ? I'm impressed !

Have you met many Lancashire Mill Girls ? Maybe you're a retired Lancashire mill owner now living in luxury within the M25.

If I ever had been a Lancashire Mill Girl, I may be forced to agree with you. ( just this once ).

Fortunately for me, I don't have to

Sadly Tim, it would appear not. I'm expecting at least 3 more Mill Girl comments

I guess it depends on what value you place in keeping stomach contents where they were intended if the sea is rough

Talk about charging what you can get away with!

Saying that, we pulled out of a trip to South America and the Falklands because the Falklands flights alone were, I think, something like £1000 each, return. Just couldn’t afford / justify it.
