Oak Leaf with Spangle Galls

I have occasionally found individual galls on the ground in woodland but this is the first time I have found a detached leaf so infested. The pale green patch is where on has become detached.

Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, f11, hand-held.

Thanks.

The detail is in the subject, captured by one of the best lenses Olympus ever made. In fact, some recent files have had so much detail that the files were too large for the host website and I had to save them at lower quality than usual.

It was natural light, shadows moderated by highlight slider in PS. I am trying to do more daylight macro, when light levels permit.

Harold
