Le Brexit, what could possibly go wrong!

30 degrees in the shade on my way to celebrate Bastille day in my ancestral homeland.

Love the guy in the velvet smoking jacket.

The chap in the velvet jacket does have a certain Gallic insouciant air about him. It fascinates me when they do the road markings. Do they have to serve an extra apprenticeship before they are let loose to create those painted bicycles?

Indeed, the guy in the velvet jacket is a very cool dude, Love this picture, you've not lost your touch for streets.

Ancestral homeland, eh ... hmm, I can ponder that.

Thanks Mark, nice comment.

My several great grandfathers was a french aristocrat who dodged having his head guillotined off!

The folk in the background are, I think, Romanians who were on a coach heading under the water too.

Re: Le Brexit, what could possibly go wrong!

I always thought marrying a beautiful French woman was a wise move, but I'm even more grateful now than I once was. I hope I don't have to flee to "the hexagon", but things are looking pretty grim right now.

Was any among them the Baron de Thenard perchance? (Formerly a degenerate inn keeper before his self elevation to the exhalted rank of Baron)

Sounds like an excellent plan, although I'm not sure the current Beaglebitch would be quite so "ravi" about it!

Re: Le Brexit, what could possibly go wrong!

WoW! Well spotted. Have you seen the show live?
Thenadier was played by the same as in the video clip. We had a front row seat, rolled on the floor with laughter.

Re: Le Brexit, what could possibly go wrong!

Never seen it live, but played the music at orchestra many times.
However Mrs B recently bought tickets for the live show for sometime in 2019 when the tour arrives near us!

Re: Le Brexit, what could possibly go wrong!

... played the music at orchestra many times - you are indeed multi-talented.

It is a epic musical based of course upon Victor Hugo's classic novel, not to be compared with kitsch such as "Phantom'' and "Cats"!
I'm sure that you and Mrs B will enjoy the live production enormously albeit a long wait. At which theatre will it be staged?

Currently in Melbourne and Sydney Evita is undergoing a revival. We saw it in Melbourne many years ago.
